Marramarra creek campground. First time taking both the kids on an overnight hike. With the weather forecast the way it was we should’ve pulled the pin but glad we pushed through. The rain held out for most of the 3.8km hike in, we had to setup our tents pretty quick to take shelter from the incoming rain, only to find a few leeches. After all this it didn’t stop the kids enjoying themselves and we managed to get a break in the rain to eat dinner and get a fire going. As the sun set it started raining again so we took shelter and all fell asleep pretty quickly to soothing sounds of the rain on the tent at 7pm. We woke the next morning to clear skies and some breakfast before packing up and starting the hike out. The kids were troopers and made the 3.8km hike out with 260m of elevation right on 2 hours with very minimal complaining.

What a trip! 10 days in the Sumatran jungle. Good

Darcy was waking up really early for the whole lockdown so I’d take her for a drive, cause we were both sick, the beach was closed and you weren’t supposed to be outside, we would sit in the car to watch the sunrise. I would have to answer the same question every morning “Why can’t we get out of the car?”
